Twenty-four
Today, me and my wife made a bet. I'm not allowed any soft drinks, that is no Coke, Sprite or even lemonade, and neither is my wife. However, since soft drinks isn't really her achilles' heel, we added that she is not to eat more than one portion of food when we eat. It's not like she's a food addict who can't stop eating, she just has a tendency to take "just another bite" straight out of the pan even after we've both finished our plates. This is to go on until we set foot on american soil, after christmas. I'm pretty confident we'll both make it.
For me, maybe this will turn out the way coffee did. I used to drink a lot of coffee, around the time when I was 14-17. In South Africa, I drank a lot of coffee. But then, when we got back to Sweden, I just decided I didn't really need it. So I stopped, and I haven't had a cup ever since. We'll see what happens with Coke, though, I just really like the taste of Coke. I'm a Coke-a-holic. In Swedish terms, that is, not american.
I write my mechanics final today. It went okay, I guess, but I'm not sure I'll pass. Either I messed up badly and get something very close to a zero, or I managed to scrape up some points from each question, and hopefully they add up to the limit.
I'm turning twenty-five in December. That's big. Up til' now, I'm just a kid. A kid with a kid. But after twenty-five, boy, I'll be a real grown-up. I'm expecting a thicker growth in the area around my mouth, chin and cheeks. Those 2-day shaves are just soo masculine, I can't wait.
I don't know what to wish for. I already got a son, so that's taken. That's pretty much what I had on my list. I only turn twenty-five once, so I better wish big. A space shuttle. My student-loan taken care of. Yeah, that's it. I like it!
